Hello and a Happy Tuesday to all!

(Sorry, I'm a bit late posting this card. I was running a bit behind in finishing the inside of my card.)

As this is the 4th Tuesday of the month, it's a new inspiration challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. This is my DT card.

For the month of March, Angela has chosen this picture to inspire you to create a card or a project for our challenge.

This adorable image that I have used for the front of my card is called Tilda Painting Egg. She is from Magnolia's Hoppy Easter Collection 2010. She is available from Diana Crick's Magnolia-licious online store.

Challenges for this card:

Challenge Up Your Life - Challenge 39 - Flip Flop Cards.

Creative Cottage - Challenge 35 - Spring has Sprung

Charisma Cardz - Challenge 11 - To Die For

My card is another flip flop or swing card--I liked doing the first one very much that I've decided to do another. This is only my 2nd flip flop card.
(Template for this 6"x6" card can be found in my first swing card posting.)

For the flip side of the centre panel, I've coloured up Hello! Tilda. She is also from the same Magnolia Easter collection as the first one above.

Okay, that's all! I'm making this posting really short.

Thanks for coming over. I appreciate your visit. Don't forget to check out the other DT's fabulous cards for further inspirations. You can click on their names on my side bar or hop over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. And I hope you will join our challenge too.

Blogoversary and Birthday Candy

Hello!

Yikes...I've been too busy working on something for the Magnolia-licious Easter-Spring Extravaganza (have you check this out? If not go here--not to be missed!) that I'm late making this posting.

March is a celebration month for me. Two days this month that I take note of:

1. My blogoversary--this past Sunday marked my 2 years at blogging...woo-hoo...it sure doesn't feel like it. Because I'm continually learning (and hopefully improving myself), I still feel like a newbie...hee hee.

2. My birthday on the 25th. Yikes, another year older! It's okay though, I actually look forward to it. The way I look at it (and I've been doing this for the past 1½ decades), each birthday takes me another year closer to early retirement...hee hee. And then...yes! I'll have all the time in the world for crafting (I'm counting on it!)--I'm almost giddy about this!!

Anyway, enough blabbering. For the past several months, I've been collecting crafty items for this, just things that I can afford buying them when they're on sale, duplicate items that I've mistakenly bought or ordered, etc. I figured if I do it a bit at a time, I won't notice the cost...LOL. I've been filling up what I call my "candy box". I've now taken those items and divided them into 2 candy sets, one for by blogoversary and the other for my birthday.

No need to be a follower if you're not already one. If you enjoy looking at my work, I would love it if you follow my blog, but that's entirely up to you.

I will randomly draw 2 names at the end of the month...this candy will close on March 31, 2011, one minute before midnight (Pacific Daylight Savings Time). I'll announce the winners on Saturday, April 2nd.

Good luck!

Tilda Celebrates

Hello.

I have several birthday cards to make this month--four of them I think...yikes! So here's one down... and three to go (gulp).

This is the wonderful sketch that I used for this card. This was created by Heather for the Challenge #38 at Basic Grey Challenges.

I've used 2 gorgeous DP's from the Basic Grey Indian Summer Collection: Milkweed and Maple Sugar. I love the design on the Milkweed paper and I was sorry that I had to cover it up for the front of the card. I decided to use the rest of the paper for the inside of my card so you can see the design better there (see below).

This adorable Tilda is called Celebration Tilda. She is a special edition Tilda made especially for Crea Duymelot Shop in the Nederlands. You can only get the stamp there. My friend Maz, gave me the heads up on this and I just couldn't resist her. She is very appropriately named as you can use her on a card to celebrate any occasion--very versatile.

I've made her an auburn or red-haired Tilda to match the colour scheme of the DP's. I think this is the first time I've used that hair colour on Tilda--at least purposely...LOL.

A few other challenges that I am entering with this card: (all having to do with flowers...hee hee...I can see that everybody is just so ready for spring!)

Magnolia Down Under - Challenge #85 - Flower Power

Simon Says Stamps - No cook recipe challenge - 1 image, 2 patterned papers (2 from the Basic Grey Indian Summer Collection), 3 different types of embellishments (flowers, ribbon and pearls).

Stamp Something Friday - Something with Flower Challenge.

All Sort Challenge - Week 92- Make your own flowers.

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Here's the inside of the card. I've kept it very simple so you can see the DP design. See, isn't that paper gorgeous?

And here's a close up for the flowers I made--not that you really need a close-up shot, as you can click once, and then again, on the picture above to blow it up if you want a closer look...LOL. But I thought it would me a nicer layout of this posting.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by. I very much appreciate your visit.

Stamps: Magnolia Celebration Tilda, the sentiments are computer generated.

DP's: Basic Grey Indian Summer Collection Milkweed and Maple Sugar.

Tools: Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Set Wildflower Deep, Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large and Classic Scalloped Ovals Large, Magnolia Doohickey Die Leaf, Nellie Snellen leaf punch and embossing punch, daisy flower punches from Martha Stewart, McGill and Punch Bunch, Martha Stewart Hydrangea petals punches.

Misc.: Ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Medium: Markers - Promarker, Touch and Letraset Tria Pantone (these Tria Pantones have been discontinued [boo hoo hoo, I cried buckets], but they are actually my favorites--good thing I bought the ink refills..LOL). Red hair was done with Touch 94, Tria Pantone 484, 486 and 4655.
