Criss Cross Gift Card Holder

Hello!  It's less than four weeks before Christmas, people!  Yikes...

I'm sure a lot of gift cards are going to be handed out this holiday season, so I've created a gift card holder that can be used for this purpose.  I made it using the criss-cross card as its base.

This card/gift card holder is smaller than my normal 6" x 6" card--it is only 4.5" x 4.5".

The two adorable images are from Magnolia's previous year's Christmas collection--I love that collection--a favorite of mine.

- Tilda With Two Little Gifts from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012

- Tilda With Lovikkamittens from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012

The stamps for these two cute Tildas are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store, where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini Magnolia stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.  Check out also the stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans, along with cutting dies from various companies and other crafting supplies.

Challenges for this gift card holder:
Bearly Mine Challenge #114 - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge - Anything Goes
Inky Impressions Challenge - IIC #136 Presents and Gifts
Divas By Design - Use some red
Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #73 - Holidays
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Cause for Celebration
Stampin' for the Weekend - Feeling Festive
Songbird Challenge #28 - Die for Another Day
Crafting From the Heart Challenge #1 - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz Challenge #46 - Christmas

That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.  I very much appreciated your visit.   Have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest f your week.

Holiday Blog Hop at Magnolia-licious

Hello.

Woo-hooooo.....we're having a Holiday Blog Hop at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  Actually it's the Magnolia-licious and the Scor-Pal Design Teams coming together for this Blog Hop.  And this is both a Game and a Challenge.  What's more, there are HUGE prizes from Magnolia-licious to be won!!!

So first, if you didn't come here from the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, click HERE to hop over there and get the complete details of the Blog Hop and how to play along. Then you can come back here as I am the first one (yikes!) on the list of participants.

And so.  For my Blog Hop project, I have created this Advent Calendar.

Here are some close-ups to showcase the Magnolia images I am featuring and also for you to get a closer look of the background scenery.

- Tilda with Snow Heart from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011

- In The Snow Scarf Tilda from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- Mini North Pole Tilda from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- Mini Show The Way Baby Rudolph from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- In the Snow Heart Tilda from the from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013

- Mini In The Snow Ski Tilda from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- Ski Edwin With Snowflakes from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.  Check out also the stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans, along with cutting dies from various companies and other crafting items.

What I have done with the little boxes is to put the dates in December before Christmas on one side and then on the other side I've placed some letters.

So each day in December, you pull out the day's box, take the goodies out (yummy), turn it around and put it back in with the letter showing.  Oh, and eat the chocolate of course.  By December 25, you will have a holiday phrase--similar to what you're doing in this Blog Hop, except you don't have to unscramble it yourself...tee hee.

I made the numbers--printed, coloured, added glitter, cut out, etc.--but I was running out of time, so I bought some alphabet sticker sets at my local dollar store.  As you can see, I ran out the capital 'S'...arghh.

Challenges I am entering with this project:
Crafty Calendar Challenge - All Things Christmas
Designed To Color Challenge #23 - Christmas/Wiinter
Stamping Sensations November Challenge - Christmas
ABC Christmas Challenge - W for Winter Wishes
Divas By Design - Something Snowy
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge #193 - Anything Goes
Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes With a Twist of Christmas
One Crazy Stamper - November Christmas Challenge
The Crafty Blogger Network Challenge - Christmas
Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge #33 - Anything Goes

Okay, that's it!

And now, for you hoppers, I have a couple of letters to give you.  They are:  t, Y

Thanks for stopping by.  To continue with the blog hop, head over to the very talented Katie Tate's blog

NOEL - 4-Step Card

Hello.  Happy Tuesday!

As it's the second Tuesday of the month, we have a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  And this is a 'Winter Themed' challenge.  For complete details of the challenge and of how to join in the fun, visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  While you're there, check out the fabulous cards that my DT teammates have created to inspire you.
Here is my DT card.

As you can see by the inside, this is actually a 4-step card.

The Magnolia images were coloured with markers, with the help of some coloured pencils to deepen the shadings.  The letters for NOEL were cut out by hand.

I like how this card looks in real life because of all the glitter that I've added on the pine branches, the pinecones and all the trees--both on the image and the diecuts.  And in this picture taken from a different angle, I'm trying to show you the glittery effect.

Hmm...I'm not sure if you can all the sparkles very clearly...oh well.

These are close-ups of the Magnolia images that I am featuring:

- Christmas Eve Edwin from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- Winter Fence from the Santa Collection 2008
- Winter Forest from the Santa Collection 2008

- Jingle Jangle Tilda from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012
- Peaceful Christmas Tree from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.  Check out also the stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans, along with cutting dies from various companies and other crafting items.

One of the dies, Marianne Designs Christmas Tree LR0136, that I used to create the layered pine trees is available from Magnolia-licious.

A reminder that there is a weekly draw for a Surprise Package Prize just for commenting.  All the comments made on the Tuesday Challenges and "W"ednesday postings on all the DT gals' blogs and the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog itself will be entered into the draw.

Thank You - Magnolia-licious "W"ednesday #13

Hello.

It's time for "W"ednesday Post #13 at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  This is when a few of the DT gals showcase those cute images from Wee Stamps or Wild Rose Studios that are now being sold at the Magnolia-licious on-line store.  Participating in today's "W"ednesday Post are Janiel, Jane, new DT member Karen and me.

And so, this is my card...

I like this card style and it was created by Marianne Skjelstad.  She calls this 'Double Tag Card'--I'm pretty sure that's the correct translation from the Norwegian 'Dobbelt Tagkort', isn't it?  You can find her tutorial HERE

I am featuring this adorable image is called Rowan Fairy, recently released by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps and is now available from Magnolia-licious.  I've coloured her with markers. I've added glitter to her wings--although it's very hard to see on the picture.  In real life the glitter made the wings stand out from the background.

You can see the rest of the images from the Wee Stamps Collection HERE.

Beside other stamps available from Magnolia-licious--Magnolia of course, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans--you can also find cutting dies from various companies.  Check them out HERE.
I've used just one of the Poppystamps dies on this card called Meadow Leaf  PS 806.

I was trying to match my embellishments to the Rowan Fairy image, so I wanted to add rowan berries to my floral arrangements.  I made the berries by colouring some tiny white pompoms with my Promarker--although it's not quite the shade I was aiming for...tee hee.

Challenges for this card:
Brown Sugar Challenge #66 - Things With Wings
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Shaped Cards
Sentimental Sundays Challenge #179 - Falling Into Autumn
Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge #32 - Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge #186 - Tic-Tac-Toe (flowers, sentiment, layers)
Ladybug Crafts November Challenge - Autumn Colours
Oozak Challenge #25 - Anything Goes with 'Thanks'
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge #77 - LRSBC77 Anything Goes
As You Like It Challenge #14 - Favorite designer and why (Marianne Skjelstad is one of fave designers--she inspires me)
Bearly Mine Challenge #111 - Anything Goes

That's all for now.  Don't forget to head over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and see what my DT teammates have created.
A reminder that there is a weekly draw for a Surprise Package Prize just for commenting.  All the comments made on the Tuesday Challenges and "W"ednesday postings on all the DT gals' blogs and the Challenge Blog itself will be entered into the draw.

Hello.

Happy November, everyone!  Can you believe it's November already?  Yikes!  It feels like it was just yesterday that summer ended, but we're already in the middle of the autumn season.

Rain is the norm for November here, so I thought this adorable image is the perfect image for my card.

And the inside of my card is almost always decorated also...

And don't overlook the cutting dies from various companies like Impression Obsession, Penny Black, Magnolia Doohickey, Poppy Stamps, Memory Box and others...like the one that I used on this card:
Memory Box 98634 Gwyneth Flourish, a gorgeous flourish that I sort of almost covered all up on the card front...LOL, but you can see the design inside my card.
